2022 Exam Outcomes
Paget High GCSE Outcomes
After a challenging couple of years it was very rewarding to see Paget students celebrating a good set of GCSE results. Courtney was overwhelmed by her grade portfolio which included seven grade 9’s as was Zara who attained 5 grade 9’s, a distinction star , two grade 8’s and a grade 7. Other notable high points were Aaliva with three grade 9’s, three grade 8’s and a distinction star, Eliza with four grade 9’s, three grade 8’s and a grade 7 and Aiman with five grade 8’s , a grade 9 and grade 7 topped off with a distinction star.
The good vibes were everywhere as the vast majority of students secured access to the next chapter in their educational journey.
As a school we are very proud of the resilience and determination shown by our examination cohorts over the past two years and our outcomes are a testament to the positive mental attitude they have demonstrated in pursuit of being and doing their very best. I would also like to acknowledge the incredible commitment of our staff in going the extra mile and leaving no stone unturned in supporting our students during such challenging times.
Paget High Sixth Form Outcomes
The current year 13 have had a challenging journey . After not sitting their GCSEs due to Covid and a large proportion of learning delivered remotely throughout the pandemic anxieties were high . Extra lessons and mocks were organised to ensure that gaps in knowledge were identified and addressed and as a result we are delighted that our sixth form outcomes have exceeded expectations and improved on our formal examinations record .
Our average grade has risen to a C and a Distinction in Vocational Qualifications. All of our students have secure places on the next phase of their educational journeys. Students of particular note are Alisbah who has achieved has Dist*. DIST* A B, and has offers from Aston University to read Human resources as well as a degree apprenticeship offer from Wincanton. Frazer achieved three Distinctions and is pursing a career in computer gaming with Birmingham City . Joshua achieved A*,A,A in Maths Physics and Chemistry and leaves us to read nuclear engineering at Lancaster; Galvin achieved ABB and will graduate from Paget to Birmingham University. Muhtadi achieved ABB in Business, English and Sociology and will pursue a career in Law at Aston University and Josh secured ABB in sociology, psychology and art and will read Fashion Design.
Most importantly though is that after a difficult few years parents, carers, staff and students have worked together in the spirit of the Paget community to overcome the challenges faced post-Covid and put smiles on the faces of our post-16 students . We wish them and all year 13+ students in Burton all the very best in the next chapter of their lives .
